Nachos are a very famous street food of Mexico after the name of the women who invented it and now those “nachos especiales” have become our all-time favorite snacks across the world. There are a lot of things that can be used as the toppings of nachos. These include guacamole, Sour cream, and jalapenos along with some other toppings of your choice. However, these classic toppings are considered to be the best toppings for the classical nachos. The classical recipe includes beef and bean mixture which makes it easier to eat nachos as this topping sticks to the tortillas and makes it very easy for us to eat them. A mixture of cheddar cheese and Colby jack cheese is the best combination to be used in the recipe of classical best nachos. This cheese must be crushed at home and melted over these tortillas along with beef and bean mixture.

This is one of the many tricks that can help you to attain the perfect taste and shape of original classical Mexican nachos because pre-shredded cheese can also be used in this recipe but that pre-shredded chesses that is available at super markets, contains ample amount of anti-caking powder which does not allow it to melt properly and it destroys the whole vibe of your classic recipe. Along with beef, you are supposed to add diced onions, sliced jalapenos, diced tomatoes, fresh cilantro, sour cream and freshly shredded cheese to have that perfect classical taste of Mexican nachos.

THE BEST NACHO RECIPE:

For achieving the best nacho recipe you need to have you r list of ingredients ready. So first things first, gather these ingredients. You will need:

Chili powder             2tablespoons

Salt                             1 ½ teaspoons

Garlic powder           1 teaspoon

Onion powder           1 teaspoon

Cumin powder          1 teaspoon

Black pepper             ¼ teaspoon

Cayenne pepper      a pinch

FOR NACHOS:

Vegetable oil             1 teaspoon

Ground beef             1 pound

Beans                        16 ounces

Water                          ¼ cup

Tortilla chips             1 large bag

Cheddar cheese      2 cups

Colby Jack cheese  2 cups

Cilantro                      ¼ cup

Jalapenos                 1

Toppings for perfect nachos:

Sour cream

Salsa

Canned black olives

Guacamole

Sliced green onions

Shredded lettuce

Corn

Procedure:

First of all, you need to pre heat your oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and then start with the recipe.

First we need to make taco spice blend and for that we need to combine all the spices together in a bowl and toss them up.

Then, we have to make topping of our nachos and for that we are supposed to have meat and beans.

Heat the oil on medium flame and add meat into that oil, once it is heated. Toss it a bit and add some seasoning mix that we have already prepared. Use your spoon to crumble beef so that it cooks properly.

Beef will need 8 minutes to cook so after 8 minutes you need to put fried beans and water to the pot and heat the mixture until meat is fully cooked and the beans are soft.

Now, reduce the heat and keep it on low heat while preparing chips on the other hand.

For the chips, take an oven safe dish and arrange your tortillas in a single layer. Toast them in the oven for 5 minutes until the smell of toasted tortillas fills your kitchen.

Assembling:

Noe remove the pan from the oven and start assembling your nachos. Add half of the shredded cheese on top of your chips and start adding beef and bean mixture along with salsa, jalapenos and everything of your choice. Sprinkle the remaining chesses on top and return this pan to the oven for another 5 minutes until the chesses is fully melted.

Take them out, add cilantro, some chopped jalapenos, and sour cream on top and serve these scrumptious nachos that will fulfil your cravings for sure.
