Something that got really popular during lockdown in covid
was people creating weird food combinations and posting that content on TikTok,
which would then go viral, provided it was either really good or really weird.
Something that I came across was the whipped and creamy
Dalgona Coffee. The name may sound a bit odd but trust me once you make it you
wouldn’t want to go back to regular coffee, except for those who like black
coffee, God help your soul.
If you’re a regular coffee drinker you’re probably going to
love this version of an iced coffee. You could turn it into a frappe if you
like, add warm milk to it and it could become a homemade cappuccino or latte
depending on your preference. You don’t
need a fancy coffee maker or a coffee press, only a whisk and your hand or if
you have an electric beater your arm and muscles would thank later. So you want to find out what the hype is all
about? Let’s get started
How to get started
So get all your ingredients and tools ready before hand
since it helps when doing the actual work and after that you just need to sit
back and relax with your cold glass of creamy coffee.
You’ll need three simple things that you would already have
in your pantry that is

Coffee
·
water
·
sugar
This is just the base for your drink, you can make
different versions of this coffee drink by trying some coffee hacks by adding
ice to make iced coffee, whipped cream, caramel sauce, vanilla flavoring, and
my personal favorite a bit of chocolate to make it a mocha flavored drink.
Let’s get to making it
now
You’re going to need a total of 10 minutes total from
prepping to serving. This recipe makes usually 2 servings depending on how much
of a caffeine kick you like and it can stay in refrigerated for a few days,
without adding the milk, just cover it with a bit of plastic wrap and you’re
all good.
Ingredients:

2 tablespoons
granulated sugar
·
2 tablespoons instant
coffee
·
2 tablespoons hot/cold
water
·
Hot/cold milk
·
Ice cubes(optional but
recommended)
Directions:
1. Grab a small bowl or a sauce pot whatever you have
available and add the water, coffee, and sugar.
2. Now if you don’t have an electric beater this is the hard
part. Say a prayer to God Almighty grab your whisk and get to beating. It works
but it’ll just take you a bit longer but trust me, worth the effort 100%.
3. Put your mixer or arm on high speed and keep whipping till
its creamy and stiff peaks form. You’ll know that they have formed if you make
a peak, it stays in shape and doesn’t melt back down.
4. Take a tall glass or a small one, but we’ll use a tall one
just to make it a little more aesthetically pleasing, add milk and ice if
you’re taking it cold, scoop out the frothy and creamy coffee mix and put a few
dollops on top of your icy milk.
5. Now serve and enjoy preferably with a nice fluffy stack of
pancakes or crispy French toast.
You can increase the recipe for more number of people once
you have your ratios set.
So you can make different variations of this coffee once
you are comfortable with making it, add a little chocolate drink powder and
chocolate shavings you can make an iced mocha.
Add hot milk and chocolate powder and tiny marshmallows and it’ll be
amazing as well. Trust me after I’m done writing this I’ll be off to make
myself a glass.
